Bianca Andreescu's historic win is inspiring a younger generation of tennis players and fans.

The 19-year-old became the first Canadian tennis player to win a Grand Slam singles title, by beating someone viewed as the greatest female player of all time in front of a New York City crowd that was very much behind Williams.

"Bianca represents the brand's values to perfection and we are very proud to have been picked for her media tour launch", the designer said in a statement.

The original article appears to claim that Williams won by 6-3, 7-5 in singles, which were Andreescu's scores. But, even in that atmosphere, and under such enormous pressure, Andreescu was able to shut everything out and concentrate on what she needed to do.

Founded in 1987, Maison Marie Saint Pierre has two boutiques in Montreal and a third in Miami.

On Monday, she climbed 10 spots in the women's tennis rankings to a career-high world No. 5. Andreescu said: "I don't think I've lost a match since March, so my confidence is skyrocketing right now".

A senior Kushner aide, Avi Berkowitz, will assume an expanded role in the peace portfolio, the official said. That plan was rolled out a workshop in Bahrain this year that was boycotted by the Palestinian Authority.

Andreescu won prestigious hard court titles in Indian Wells and Toronto this year, setting the stage for her remarkable run in NY.

Cary Kaplan, president of Cosmos Sports & Entertainment, says the tournament's big earnings changes Andreescu's financial situation and gives her the ability to pick and choose from what is sure to be an onslaught of endorsement offers.

"Williams also told reporters she was having a hard time accepting her performance level and telling herself, "'you did okay' because I don't think I did".

"I'd love that challenge".

"For it to actually become a reality is insane", she said of her first Grand Slam singles win.

She took home $3.85 million with her U.S. Open win. "You're going to see a lot of people playing more and more". I can remember watching other Canadians make their big breakouts and saying, 'Hey Mom, when is it going to happen for me?' I know not every day is going to be rainbows and butterflies like this. "We wanted to go to Canada and start a new life and have a better future for any kids we might have". "Don't @ me!" She joked.
