Visually, the new film looks stunning.

The new Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer is a thing of beauty.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi lorgnera-t-it to Return of The Jedi? The Last Jedi will be the eighth installment since the story began way back in 1977, which means it'll have to start tying up storylines before the final outing is released in 2019.

It's no surprise that this is a slick piece of modern movie marketing. On Twitter last night, following the trailer's debut, Johnson tweeted out multiple porg-related photos in response to fans.

Kylo and Daisy Ridley's Rey are the main focus of the two-and-a-half minute clip, with the film tackling the next chapter of Rey's epic journey.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is written and directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman. Poe rockets off in an X-wing during a battle and has an inspiring speech.

Iceland becomes smallest nation to qualify for FIFA World Cup
Group rivals Italy , already guaranteed second place and a playoff spot, won 1-0 in Albania . Victory over Kosovo last night secured Iceland a place in next summer's Russian tournament.

Released during the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, it picks up immediately after the events of 2015's The Force Awakens.

Naturally, people were also pretty emotional about Fisher's quiet and stoic scenes in the trailer. Luke is certainly scared by Rey's raw power, but it seems like Rey is, too. And what about all those new ships like the Dreadnoughts, the upgraded X-Wings, Kylo's ship, and the mega Star Destroyer?

If they're on the cliffs with Luke and Rey, perhaps Rey adopts a little porg to accompany her when she leaves Skywalker. Or could it be Finn (John Boyega)?

The Finn/Captain Phasma moment pleased many. This could be flashback scene from when Kylo and his Knights of Ren burned the Jedi temple to the ground.

And then there's General Leia, played by the late and irreplaceable Carrie Fisher. As Leia's Force sensitivity is rarely discussed in the films, this could be leading somewhere important. The next few months will see a deluge of material on this latest episode in the Saga, but I'm more than sold already.
