The makers had the displays of the poster on Burj Khalifa which is one of the main attractions in Dubai.

Akshay Kumar, who is the antagonist of the movie, was quoted as saying, "2.0 is not a Tamil film, it's an Indian film".

Ahead of the film's music launch in Dubai on 27 October, the preparations, to make the event memorable and grand, are at their best. The excitement and fanfare around the film is getting louder, even as the film is about three months away from its theatrical release.

The tickets to the event were reportedly sold out within hours of going online.

The poster feature Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson amid blazing fire and behind them is Akshay Kumar with that scary look. The makers of the film have planned to broadcast the entire event in malls. Sources say that the production house has hired RJ Balaji, Rana Daggubati, and Karan Johar to host the audio launch in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi respectively. About 1 lakh people are expected to watch the show this way.
