Hell in a Cell 2017: What worked, what didn't and what's next

All of SmackDown's titles will be on the line at Hell in a Cell as well. Sami Zayn assisted Owens to move out of the way from the elbow drop by McMahon. If insulting Shane McMahon and his family wasn't bad enough, Owens beat the living heck out of the WWE's Chairman & CEO, Vincent McMahon. A picture caught by a fan highlights the young McMahon flipping Zayn off after helping Owens defeat his father.

WWE officials are hoping a major title win at WWE Hell in a Cell can help cement Charlotte Flair as the top female babyface for the brand. This was the match of the night without a doubt but as Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens kept escalating they were a close second place.

It was the climax of a night that featured strong storytelling propping up mostly solid-to-average in-ring work. The build for this one centered around Mahal being a very big piece of shit, and not in a good way, if that makes sense.

Of course, this isn't the first time McMahon's taken a huge bump in a high-profile match. Not for the first time this year, these teams have again set the bar for tag match of 2017. At one point Xavier and Big E had Jimmy Uso in the corner of the cell and barricaded him in with kendo sticks so he couldn't move. That attempt landed Nakamura knee-first into the turnbuckle and Mahal pulled off a Khallas and he went for the countdown to retain a title he has held for a long time now. It was the exclamation on another superb chapter to this heated rivalry. And then we have the Flair/Hart battle between Charlotte and Smackdown Women's Champion, Natalya. But before the challenger could get the champ back into the ring for a pinfall, Natalya grabbed a steel chair and got herself disqualified. His work over the last month has been highly entertaining, and I hope, despite this result, we see more of him and Aiden English, perhaps in the United States title picture.

The United State title did change hands, and in a brilliant way - without A.J. Styles being pinned and with Baron Carbon continuing to take shortcuts.

SNP urges Spain to 'respect' Catalan vote
Around 350,000 people attended the rally, municipal police said, while organisers put turnout at between 930,000 and 950,000. Protesters, some of whom arrived via bus or train from other parts of Spain, marched peacefully.

Greetings. This week, we'll candidly preview the WWE's upcoming pay per view - Hell in a Cell extravaganza. Sadly though, the WWE Title match was disappointing as was the WWE Women's Title match too. Ziggler, who mocked elaborate entrances for weeks, scrapped his and entered in silence and darkness.

Frustrated, Ziggler hit Roode with a Zig-Zag after the match and stormed out of the ring.

Programming note for Tuesday: There will not be another Happy Rusev Day celebration.

I have no idea why the WWE continues to flog this seemingly dead horse, as there never was much synergy between these two - even at the outset, when Randy was the champion and Rusev was being given a big push. So, for the time being, we'll enjoy our Fashion Files and our New Day/Uso matches respectively.
