Allegiant Air on Tuesday morning announced it is returning to the Coast, with nonstop flights from Gulfport to Orlando and one-way fares as low as $29, beginning August 30. "It may take a little time, but we will see how services do and if people get on the airplane it will help us grow into the future".
The new flights were part of a 28-route expansion, "the largest-ever announcement of new service in the company's history".
The new, year-round routes are projected to bring more than 33,000 additional visitors to Las Vegas annually, officials with the Las Vegas-based budget carrier said.
Allegiant Airlines now offers flights between St. Cloud and Mesa, Arizona.
