The wife of Tarzan actor Ron Ely was allegedly stabbed to death by their son at the couple's Santa Barbara County home on Tuesday evening, according to deputies.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office ordered a neighborhood lock-down within a one-mile radius of the home.
Deputies searched the area for a possible suspect, who was then killed in a deputy-involved shooting on the property, Raney said.
Autopsies for both Valerie and Cameron Ely are pending, the Sheriff's Office said, and the agency is "conducting criminal, coroner's and administrative investigations".
The younger Ely posed an unspecified threat to the deputies, leading them to open fire on him, the statement said.
The suspect fatally shot by deputies was identified as her son, Cameron Ely. During the search, deputies located the suspect on the property of the homicide.
David De Gea's Abductor Injury Confirmed
United may be able to call on Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, though, who are all pushing to return from injuries.
An earlier sheriff's statements said an elderly man from the home was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
Authorities have yet to speculate on a potential motive for the tragic slaying. Upon arriving at the scene, Ron's wife, Valerie, 62, was found dead with multiple stab wounds.
Police have not released the identities of the people in the home, the relationship among them or information on a possible motive.
The tall, musclebound actor Ron Ely was not quite as well-known as Johnny Weismuller, the Olympic swimmer who played Tarzan, the character created by novelist Edgar Rice Burroughs, in movies in the 1930s and 1940s.
Ron Ely came out of retirement in 2014 to play a small role in the Lifetime channel TV movie Expecting Amish.
His other notable roles include 1975′s "Doc Savage: The Man From Bronze" and appearances on the television shows "Wonder Woman", "The Love Boat" and "Fantasy Island".
