Nintendo is hoping to again capitalize on the popularity of retro gaming.
Super Nintendo Classic Edition is coming, the company said in a tweet and a press release Monday. The console was a miniature version of the original Nintendo Entertainment System and bundled 22 of the original game console's titles. Even into 2017, the NES Classic Edition was almost impossible to find on store shelves, leading some people to turn to online auction sites like eBay to buy it at a premium.
The system ships with two wired SNES Classic controllers, as well as an HDMI cable, USB charging cable and AC adapter. That console was released in the U.S.in 1991 and like its predecessor, sold exceedingly well.

Like last year's Nintendo Classic Mini, the SNES Classic Mini will return the design of the original console - it will just be a cuter, small version. Some of the games with multiplayer modes include Street Fighter II Turbo Hyper Fighting, Super Mario Kart, Contra III The Alien Wars and Secret of Mana.
That's right. The unreleased Star Fox 2 which was almost completed will be appearing on the SNES classic, which is the first time Nintendo has released this game to the public. However, the SNES mini-console comes with an extra SNES controller for multiplayer action. The mini system, which contains 21 pre-installed classic games and can easily be plugged into any high-definition TV using the included HDMI cable, will be available at a suggested retail price of $79.99.
