President Donald Trump taunted Nancy Pelosi in a tweet Thursday as Republicans and some Democrats have pinned the loss of the special election in Georgia's 6th Congressional District on the House minority leader.
"I'm not saying it's fair but the perception in the world is that democrats are liberals, elitists from the coast who do not connect to working class people", said Ryan.
"You want me to sing my praises?" she asked.
Ossoff certainly didn't lose over a lack of cash.
She said she feels "very confident" in the support she has from her caucus, but claimed ownership over the "timing" for her role as minority leader. "At least another decade", Gingrich said.
Broton says one takeaway is finding candidates who better represent their district. "The honest answer is in some areas of the country, yes, she is", he replied.
The loss in Georgia followed similar disappointments in special House elections in Kansas and Montana, as well as in South Carolina Tuesday night. A group of her critics met Thursday in New York Democratic Rep. Kathleen Rice's office, though it was not clear what if anything would come of it. "They're winning, and we're losing". And that's my concern. "We need a genuinely new message, a serious jobs plan that reaches all Americans, and a bigger tent".
Transformers Get Arthurian in 'The Last Knight'
This year's Transformers: The Last Knight is no different and it sounds like Michael Bay has not learnt his lesson. After sitting through this " Last Knight ", the real shame is that they didn't turn her loose on the script.
During her weekly news conference around the same time, a defiant Pelosi challenged the idea that she should go simply because the GOP base doesn't like her, noting that the right tends to denigrate whatever Democrat happens to be in power.
Pelosi also incorrectly predicted that Democrats were poised to take back the House a year ago, leading some of her colleagues to feel that this time around, she needs to deliver.
In an interview with CNN Ryan was pressed if Pelosi was more "toxic" than Trump.
"I believe one of the reasons they did it is I'm an effective leader".
She is, after all, a millionaire San Francisco party-line liberal incapable of understanding what most of America wants and needs.
But when the chips were down, the majority of the voters in the 6th decided they wanted to keep the district red and preserve the GOP majority in Congress, looking toward favorable action on Trump's agenda even if they didn't wholeheartedly support him.
"There comes a time in every leader's life when they have to know it's time to leave and usher in the next generation of leaders", said Rice. This time I did.
