Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell finally unveiled the Senate GOP's draft of Trumpcare on Thursday and was met with several dozen protesters gathered in front of his office, who were were then aggressively removed by law enforcement.
People in wheelchairs and with ventilators showed up to stage a "die-in" outside Mitch McConnell's office, but they were violently removed by Capitol Police.
The protest organized by the disability advocacy organization ADAPT, was meant to pressure McConnell and other Republicans not to cut Medicaid funding. The protesters rely on Medicaid to help them live and she says the health bill amounts to "tax cuts for the wealthy on the backs of people with disabilities", Barkoff said.
Some of the protesters were yelling "no cuts to Medicaid" as they were being led away by police.
President Donald Trump's $4.1 trillion budget proposal for 2018 also includes $600 billion in decreases to Medicaid, apparently on top of health care bill cuts.

The protesters staged a "die-in" in front of the office, with numerous protesters in wheelchairs removing themselves from the chairs then lying down on the floor.
ADAPT organizer Bruce Darling said: 'Our lives and liberty shouldn't be stolen to give a tax break to the wealthy. In March, a protest of around 40 people, the majority of them in wheelchairs, shut down the Capitol Rotunda for around an hour while demonstrators railed against the AHCA.
