Microsoft and Psyonix have both responded to the comments, but that isn't quite the end of the story, as the developer still hasn't given up on getting Sony involved with the Rocket League action.
We know that Switch visuals top out at 720p when the console is used in tablet mode, though for some games, we can get a resolution of up to 1080p when the console is docked and playing on a TV. Take away any kind of exterior opinion on corporate perception, Minecraft and Rocket League are some of the most successful and most-played games of the last five years and champion this democratisation of play.
For Dunham, that answer didn't make any sense - especially when it comes to protecting players from "external influences".
"Technically it's possible", Dunham explained. I'm going to stop right here and congratulate the team at Psyonix and Microsoft for allowing cross network play for Rocket League, this is a huge achievement on its own and will only spur the Rocket League community and gamers alike. While it is Psyonix's dream to make cross-platform play a reality, it may be that Sony doesn't see an immediate benefit. "I would love for players on all platforms to stay connected", he said, before adding what he thought of Sony's response.
The E3 2017 is over, giving video games a big new push especially to the Nintendo Switch. It's why we came up with other features that we'll announce later this year in other updates.

And if you look at what has been shown at E3 2017 for the Nintendo Switch, I think you'd be pretty pleased.
"I have this analogy, and I know I use this analogy a lot, but it's like if I have an iPhone and my brother has a [Samsung] Galaxy". He further said that despite Microsoft's disagreement with Sony over the user's safety, they would like to change things and they are very open about that.
"The fact that somebody would make an assertion that somehow we're not keeping Minecraft players safe ..." This will be an adjustment if you're used to seeing Rocket League in 1080p.
