The Pittsburgh Penguins' Stanley Cup championship, the first an National Hockey League team has won back to back in nearly 20 years, spawned by far the biggest victory parade of any of the franchise's five titles.

It was only in the aftermath of Pittsburgh's second straight Stanley Cup championship that he helped author by playing brilliantly at times during playoff series wins over Columbus and Washington that Fleury let the finality set in. But this year, it will continue into Point State Park, where players, coaches and other dignitaries will take the stage. Confetti and ice cold beer spilled all over the streets of Pittsburgh, and although the parade has ended, the celebration is sure to last all summer long. "You can't go in there expecting anything different". Everybody talked about Nashville through those finals.

Every team has to expose one goalie to the Vegas Golden Knights, so now the Penguins can protect 23-year-old Matt Murray. "The energy we had yesterday was one thing, but I think what we had here with our own penguins was very special", penguin keeper Chris Gaus said.

"I don't know if I like it better or not", Doughty said.

Paul Casey goes top then crashes down US Open leaderboard
Fowler, who shared the 36-hole lead at the Masters in April, never came seriously close to bogey because he was never in trouble. Such low scoring might suggest the 11-year-old course was a cream puff, hardly the USGA's idea of the ultimate test in golf .

The modern Penguins tend to be a bit more reserved than some teams when they get toward the end of their victory parades. All the stars were in attendance; from Jeff Jimmerson, the anthem singing sensation, to Sidney Crosby and the Stanley Cup. There is no J.R. Smith going shirtless throughout, no Mark Madsen dancing on the stage, no Bryan Trottier shouting at the top of his lungs, "I feel absolutely awesome" after sliding on the soaking Three Rivers Stadium field while celebrating the Cup in 1992.

Now, as Phil Bourque says... Hundreds of fans were lucky during the latest parade as Crosby spent several minutes walking the parade with the Cup in hand letting every fan who could reach an opportunity to touch the greatest trophy in sports. We couldn't do it without you.

We bring that quote up today because Doughty can become an unrestricted free agent in two years, and Toronto Maple Leafs fans would sure love to see him wearing blue and white.

The Penguins beat the Nashville Predators 2-0 in Game 6 on Sunday. The youngster took the Penguins the rest of the way to the championship.
