Fire Capt. Garon Mosby says it's a miracle that no one was hurt.
The fire department was aided by the Collapse Rescue Task Force and Laclede Gas Company workers. The vacant house was destroyed while the two on either side sustained moderate damage.
The explosion happened at about 8:30 in the 8600 block of Oriole. There was also debris from the home on neighboring roofs.
Unicorn Frappuccino Debuts At Starbucks
Starbucks says in a statement it's reaching out to Burson "to talk about his experience and how to make it better". Despite the Unicorn Frappuccino's tangy taste, many students agree the drink makes for a good picture.
"The one miraculous thing about this incident is that there are no reported injuries", Mosby says.
Fire officials in St. Louis continue their investigation after a vacant home exploded, sending glass, wood and other rubble flying into the air. Instead, they had to sift through the debris to locate the gas meter to disconnect the gas to the destroyed home and the adjacent properties. The cause of the explosion is unknown.
