'Dirty Dancing' remake: First look at Abigail Breslin as 'Baby'

There are hints that the remake for "Dirty Dancing" will deeper explore the lives of Baby and Johnny, right after their summer romance. It has a lot of heart, and a whole lot of Patrick Swayze breaking hearts. Will Prattes be able to fill those tight fitting jeans that Swayze wore in Dirty Dancing to make women across the world swoon? He was also in the music video for "Try" by Pink so he is not a odd to the dancing world.

Clearly, producers expect us to clap like trained seals when we see Baby say her name is "Baby" and then the follow-up in which Baby is not put in a corner, and finally, The Lift.

Let the dancing commence! The musical, that would be three hours long, will not be an exact remake. Baby gets to be the dance partner of Johnny for a competition in "Dirty Dancing".

Paul Manafort is registering with the U.S. government as a foreign agent
The claim by a Ukrainian investigator "that he has evidence of a wire transfer to a US bank account of Mr. Payments for Manafort's work in Eastern Europe are unrelated to the ongoing investigations.

Fans of the original Dirty Dancing movie are not thrilled that this remake has been made at all. We probably will. So, congrats, ABC, you got everyone talking about this remake so unnecessary that you are blatantly marketing it as a hate watching "event" rather than original programming. Jake Houseman, Sarah Hyland will play Lisa Houseman, and Nicole Scherzinger will play Penny Rivera. Debra Messing will play Marjorie Houseman, Bruce Greenwood will play Dr. The characters, the dance scenes, the passion between Baby and Johnny, are going to be hard to replicate.

Dirty Dancing premieres on ABC May 24.
