Just two days away from the opening night of the NFL Draft, projected first round pick cornerback Gareon Conley has been accused of rape.
According to the police report obtained by Land-Grant Holy Land, police responded to a call at the Westin in downtown Cleveland to investigate an alleged sexual assault in a hotel suite bathroom on Sunday, April 9. She accused Conley of forcibly having sex with her shortly after watching the other couple have sex.
The woman said once she was in the bathroom, Conley spun the woman around, unbuttoned her trousers and began to have sex with her. After going back to Conley's room, where he asked her to engage in group sex with another couple.
Kevin Spellacy, Conley's attorney, vehemently denied the allegations to WOIO-TV in Cleveland. She described him to police as a man who would not take his sunglasses off and displayed a tattoo on his left forearm.
CBS Cleveland 19 has asked for the Cleveland police report multiple times, and has been given no response as to why an initial or completed report isn't available almost two weeks later.
The good and the bad - revolves around Russell Westbrook
Adams deliberately missed his free throw to gamble an extra two points from his superstar guard - and he didn't disappoint. By now, you probably already understand that Russell Westbrook is pretty much the entire Oklahoma City Thunder team.
Conley has not been interviewed by police.
He does not plan to attend the draft, a source told ESPN's Josina Anderson, confirming an NFL Network report. After calling police, the accuser took a rape kit at the hospital, but refused to speak to authorities after that.
McShay also said Florida defensive tackle Caleb Brantley was charged with battery after a woman told police he had punched her, and both MI safety Jabrill Peppers and Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster tested positive for diluted urine samples at the combine. Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins, who played his college ball at Ohio State, even said he wants the team to draft Conley with their No. 14 overall pick.
An attorney for former Ohio State football star Gareon Conley says the player denies an accusation made in a police report that he sexually assaulted a woman. One of the witnesses claimed he saw Conley and the accuser laying on a bed, but noted that "nothing happened".
