The award-which is given annually to the top male and female Division I soccer players in the country-is the most prestigious in college soccer.
Syracuse sophomore Mo Adams is one of 31 NCAA Division I men's soccer players named to the 2017 Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy watch list. On the MAC Hermann Trophy's women's watch list, the Big Ten is represented by Northwestern's Lauren Clem, Penn State's Frannie Crouse and Emily Ogle, and Rutgers' Casey Murphy.
In its history, BYU has had seven players named as candidates for the award, whether as watch list mentions or semifinalists. Last fall, she led the Nittany Lions and Big Ten with 12 goals. The MAC Hermann Banquet to announce the victor will be held on January 5. The San Jose, Costa Rica native scored 11 goals including five game-winners in 2016 earning him Second Team All-ACC and NSCAA All-America Third Team honors. Sierakowski was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team in 2015.
