Not in a position to judge legality of Jadhav's death sentence

Pakistan claims that its security forces had arrested Jadhav from the restive Baluchistan province on March 3 past year after he reportedly entered from Iran. "There are no proofs against him".

"The EAM also informed the Parliament that Government of Pakistan had approached us this year to access the investigation and this further underlines the insufficiency of evidence", he added.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay, fielding a slew of questions, also said India has no knowledge of where Kulbhudhan Jadhav has been kept in Pakistan or his condition due to Islamabad's refusal to provide consular access to him.

A day after India called conviction of Kulbhushan Jadhav in Pakistan a "farcical trial", the United Nations declined to take a position on the death sentence handed to the self-confessed Indian spy. "Jadhav has to be brought back at the earliest", party chief Uddhav Thackeray told reporters at his residence in Mumbai.

Marri said that it would be a case of "premeditated murder" and "extra judicial killing" if Pakistan carried out Jadhav's death sentence.

Trump slaps tariff on Canadian softwood lumber
The Canadian dollar hasn't been this low since February 2016. "We have prevailed in the past and we will do so again", said Carr. As a builder, they perhaps reasoned, Trump might be more sympathetic to anything that would limit the price of lumber.

"Pakistan has not shared with us till now any details of Kulbhushan Jadhav's location or how he is", he said.

The High Commissioner to India said the Indian National has been visiting Pakistan since 2003 using an original Indian passport but with a fake name.

He reiterated that Jadhav, whom Pakistan has deemed a spy and has passed a death sentence+ against, is a retired Indian Navy officer and an "innocent Indian".

The death sentence awarded to Jadhav recently echoed in both Houses of Parliament where all parties came together to condemn the "indefensible" verdict and pressed the government to take every step to help him. The Shiv Sena on Wednesday slammed Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif's statement, saying that Islamabad has the tendency to confuse people by speaking in different languages, warning that even India can retaliate in the same manner.
