Trump reportedly under investigation for obstruction of justice in Russian Federation probe

Unidentified officials told The Washington Post that Mueller's probe into possible collision between the Trump campaign and the Russian government during the 2016 election has now widened to include Trump himself.

"The FBI leak of information regarding the President is outrageous, inexcusable and illegal", said Mark Corallo, a spokesman for Trump's legal team.

BARRETT: Well, as you may remember last week from former FBI Director Comey's testimony, President Trump had been told for months and months that he was not under investigation.

Within days of Comey's ouster, investigators began looking into Trump for obstruction of justice, The Post reported.

Mr Comey would not say in his testimony last week whether he thought the President sought to obstruct justice, but added it would be up to special counsel Mr Mueller "to sort that out".

According to the Post report, senior United States intelligence officials have agreed to be interviewed by investigators working for the special counsel.

Together, we've gone far.

Ruddy appeared to be basing his remarks, at least in part, on comments from Jay Sekulow, a member of Trump's legal team, who told ABC in an interview Sunday that he was "not going to speculate" on whether Trump might at some point order Rosenstein to fire Mueller.

Parade for Warriors on Thursday. Will NBA champs visit White House?
There were erroneous reports Tuesday morning that the team had already unanimously voted against visiting the White House. In addition, Warriors coach Steve Kerr has been fiercely critical of the President and a number of his proposed policies.

According to the Times report, Trump was "angered by reports in Breitbart News", and "other conservative news outlets" that Mueller was close to Comey.

Trump's attorney, Marc Kasowitz, did not respond to a BuzzFeed News request for comment, but did not deny the Post report in a statement issued to media after the story was published.

"I know that I was sacked because something about the way I was conducting the Russian Federation investigation was putting pressure" on Trump, Comey testified.

Robert Mueller, the special counsel recently appointed to oversee the investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 election is reported to beinterviewing senior intelligence officials.

Comey said he believed Trump was trying to get him to drop an investigation of the president's former national security adviser, and that White House officials spread "lies, plain and simple" to cover up the reason for his dismissal.

After a day of speculation, White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, "While the president has the right to, he has no intention to do so". So he sort of says it but ultimately backs off and says, look; ultimately it is the special counsel Mueller's decision to make about whether any laws were broken in this. The aide spoke on condition of anonymity because the meeting was private.

"I think he's weighing that option", Ruddy said in an interview Monday with Judy Woodruff of "PBS NewsHour".
