The Grizzlies were assessed 22 personal fouls, sending the Spurs to the free throw line 32 times, of which they made all but one shot. The Spurs were awarded 32 free throws in Game 2, with forward Kawhi Leonard taking 19 of them.
Secondly? Memphis-based Grizzlies sponsor ServiceMaster has pledged to cover the cost of league fees that David Fizdale may (will) face as a result of his now-viral press conference criticizing the officiating after Game Two.
"I'm not a numbers guy, but that doesn't seem to add up", might be the best quote of the postseason.
He continued, "Overall, 35 times we shot the ball in the paint, we had 15 free throws for the game". Rookie Wayne Selden, who played just 14 games in the regular season, started in his place and went scoreless in 15 minutes.
"I'm not going to let them treat us that way". That's unacceptable, that's unprofessional.
An infuriated Fizdale said the refs "did not even give us a chance". "It's right back to the drawing boards and to zero pretty much on how we're attacking tonight's game".
"They upped their pressure", said Fizdale.
The Grizzlies forced seven turnovers while outscoring the Spurs 34-19 in the opening 16 minutes of the second half, with Conley, Gasol and Randolph accounted for 21 points.
Le Pen lurches back to far right as race tightens
The presidential race has narrowed with just days to go, with the pack closing behind frontrunners Macron and Le Pen. Having led the polls at the turn of the year, the scandal hit his support hard.
However, they almost blew an 18-point lead in the fourth as the Pacers got within four before Cleveland closed it out at the line.
It's hard to decide if "they not gonna rook us" or "take that for data" is the more iconic line.
Game three is in Memphis on Thursday (Friday AEST).
Memphis Grizzlies Lineup: PG - Mike Conley, SG - Wayne Selden, SF - Vince Carter, PF - JaMychal Green, C - Marc Gasol.
San Antonio would not take its first lead until there was 8:53 remaining in the second quarter, but raced to victory once it did.
The San Antonio Spurs can all but put this series to bed by winning here and taking a commanding 3-0 lead.
Adding to Fizdale's consternation was the fact that Memphis rallied from a 26-point deficit in the second half and had an opportunity to win after a 29-point blowout in Game 1.
Fizdale said his team earned their spot in the playoffs and they are not getting the respect they deserve. He became the fifth player since 2006 to score 1,000 points in his first 46 playoff games, joining Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, James Harden and Russell Westbrook. The good news for the Pacers is that they know they can hang with the Cavaliers to an extent and they play extremely well at home.
