Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo ticked off yet another major milestone on Tuesday as his side secured a dramatic extra-time win over Bayern Munich to advance to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. Cristiano Ronaldo levelled with a deft header, before Sergio Ramos' own goal swung the tie back in Bayern's favour.

"I think we deserved more", fumed Ancelotti. We felt it a lot and you start to wonder a bit. "It's time to introduce videos for the referees".

They turned up at the Bernabéu having lost 1-2 in the first leg and still managed to force extra-time.

With the German side needing to score twice, Ronaldo finished his hat-trick and Asensio also scored as Madrid twice caught a Bayern side on the break.

At the age of 32, Ronaldo is no more the pacy and creative winger that he was in his early days, he fits in the role of a centre forward now and makes sure that no one cuts his way.

All that in an odd game, with a very poor performance from the referee. Where the second goal was without a doubt an offside, the third was a close call when Marcelo played the ball.

That chased Nelson, and then Jay greeted Hughes with a triple off the base of the wall in right-center to score Almora and tie it. Cubs: Anderson was hit in the lower left leg by a hard grounder in the first inning but stayed in the game.

Vidal said Kassai robbed Bayern of a chance to go through to the semifinals for the sixth straight year.

Mateusz Borek, a Polish commentator for Polsat Sport and Eurosport, says he has received a text message from Lewandowski saying the Bayern striker, who has a reputation for being exceptionally immune to injuries, was fit to play in the weekend game, but had been ruled out by yellow cards he collected in previous matches.

"I just ask that they don't whistle me", he told Antena 3.

"I try to give my best in every game and even if I don't score, I try to work to help the team".

After netting a brace in the first leg and becoming the first player to get 100 goals in European competitions, Ronaldo proved his critics wrong once again and showed his character of a big match player by leading Real Madrid into the semi-finals of the competition.
