LaVar Ball makes his first bold prediction for Lonzo's National Basketball Association career

With Lonzo as a new Laker and former star at the University of California at Los Angeles; 18-year-old LiAngelo as a UCLA commit; and 15-year-old LaMelo as a star at Chino Hills High School, who scored 92 points in a game in February, LaVar's prophecy that he'd one day have three sons not only playing in the National Basketball Association, but playing for the Lakers and winning championships together, seems that much closer to fruition.

LaVar Ball, for one, was certain of the team's ascendance under his son.

Once the smokescreen of other prospects getting picked by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2017 NBA Draft passed, and UCLA's Lonzo Ball was selected as expected, the unapologetically boisterous LaVar Ball made yet another bold claim.

Having gone 15th in the 2015 Draft, Devin Booker reminded the draftees that it's not the draft pick that matters, but the situation where they end up. Moments after Lonzo Ball was selected, his father, LaVar, guaranteed the eldest Ball boy would lead the Lakers to the playoffs.

The Nets drafted Lopez with the 10th overall pick in 2008 when the team still played in the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, N.J. He played two seasons in Newark before the team moved to Brooklyn in 2012. Just everything he's going to teach me is going to be useful.

"Listen, there can be a sense of bravado with some of the media stuff, but when you get to see the heart of the person and how they treat others, I think that's when you really get to know them", Pelinka said.

The NSE Nifty also went up by 21 points, or 0.22 per cent, at 9,668.25, after moving between 9,608.15 and 9,676.25. China's Shanghai Composite index rose 0.36 per cent.

The Warriors will again be the team to beat as they appear to be far ahead of the second best team, the Cavaliers.

"I don't think there's one thing you can learn from him". We want to thank him for what he did for us, but what I needed was a leader. It also erases all doubt on the multiple reports that surfaced before the NBA Draft that stated the Lakers were "unsure" on Ball with the #2 pick in the draft.

"Yeah", was Ball's answer when asked about whether or not he can bring the Lakers back to the playoffs during a conference call.

"I'm my biggest critic", he said last week after a pre-draft workout for the Sixers. We didn't look at ball-stoppers or guys that wanted to hold it for too long and make individual players. "He obviously loves him, and that's what you want out of a father, so I'm not overly concerned with that".

"There's just a renewed energy around here", Pelinka said Thursday night. It was incredible. I talked to Rob Pelinka, Magic (Johnson), Coach (Luke) Walton, it was fantastic.

"Definitely. That's how I've played my whole life".
