Britax says the auto seats remain safe in a crash without the chest clip until the remedy kit can be installed.

The recalled seats come from three separate travel systems with hundreds of model numbers.

The recall affects several models of Britax's "B-Safe" seats, including B-Safe 35, B-Safe 35 Elite and BOB B-Safe 35. The company said no choking injuries have been reported as a result of the issue.

According to a notice [PDF] posted with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, if the chest clip breaks it could pose a choking hazard, increasing the risk of children.

And instead of leaving Erin Hills fretting about how much better he could've done, he was thankful it wasn't any worse. Open courses, it was beginning to firm up from the early week rain, plus the USGA had a few tricks up its sleeve.

The NHTSA has received two complaints of the clips failing since the beginning of June.

A free instruction kit with a replacement chest clip and step-by-step instructions is being offered to those who contact the company. Owners can call the manufacturer at 833-474-7016 or visit www.bsafe35clip.com for more information.

NOTE: No other products are included in this recall.
