Jurors in the Bill Cosby sexual assault trial have returned for a fifth day of deliberations.
Gianna Constand, the accuser's fiercely protective mother, testified that Cosby apologized over the phone to her and her daughter and offered to pay for her schooling.
"We are confident that these proceedings have given a voice to the many victims who felt powerless and silenced", they added.
Constand accuses the 79-year-old entertainer of drugging and molesting her at his Philadelphia-area home in 2004.

Linda Kirkpatrick, one of the women accusing Cosby of sexual assault, told CNN shortly after the mistrial the entire ordeal had forced those accusing the star to relive a terrible time in their lives.
"She deserves a verdict in this case", Kevin Steele promised referring to alleged victim Andrea Constand, "and we will push forward to try and get justice done".

The jury deliberated for more than 52 hours on charges that Cosby had allegedly drugged and molested former Temple University employee Andrea Constand in January 2004 at his mansion in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.

The mistrial, which Cosby's lawyers had supported, means that prosecutors will need to decide whether to retry Cosby on the charges at a later date. "Mr. Cosby looked at me and said, 'I thought you had an orgasm, didn't you?' And I said, 'I did not".
