The gunman, described as a 45-year-old disgruntled former worker, also shot and killed himself. "Family people. My heart goes out to all their families".

This is the second instance this year of a disgruntled ex-employee who has been accused of returning to a former Orlando workplace to kill. Demings said most of the victims were shot in the head and some were shot multiple times.

Authorities said they believe Clark and the other fatalities were singled out by a recently fired worker at the awning manufacturer owned by Fiamma, Inc.

Demings also said the Sheriff's Office responded to Fiamma about three years ago, when Neumann allegedly battered an employee. He was not charged in that case.

"All she kept saying was he was holding a gun and told her to get out", Gomez said.

Authorities rushed to the scene shortly after 8 a.m. after a woman ran out and called 911 from another business across the street.

Gomez says the woman told her that the gunman had told her to leave the facility.

Adams said her sister is OK and was taken to a nearby fire department training facility.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott, R, asked residents across the state to pray for the families affected "by this senseless act of violence".

"The city of Orlando, which is still healing from the Pulse massacre, has seen too much violence this past year", the Florida Democrat said in a statement.

The shooting comes one week ahead of the anniversary of the June 12 Pulse nightclub shooting which left 49 dead and dozens more wounded.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan calls off 'peace fast' in Madhya Pradesh
After protests became rough across the state post the firing, the Chief Minister began what came to be dubbed a "peace fast". In the last 10 days, farmers resorted to violence during their stir for various demands, including a complete loan waiver.

The focus of the police investigation into a fatal shooting with multiple victims is a business that makes awnings for recreational vehicles. "The company is heartbroken following the unspeakable attack upon our loved ones and employees", the company's statement said.

Late in the afternoon, Sheriff Jerry Demings arrived to offer condolences.

Robert Snyder's friends say one of his regular hangouts was Trick Shots in Winter Park, where he played pool competitively.

The business is located in an industrial area northeast of downtown.

Shelley Adams told ABC News that her sister told her she was inside her place of business this morning when she walked out of the bathroom and saw someone lying on the floor.

She says Kevin Lawson would always drop everything to help someone in need. Adams said. "That's shocking".

Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings was expected to give a briefing Monday about what happened at the warehouse in an industrial area of east Orlando.

The co-worker, who had no visible injuries, stated "he had problems in the past with John but thought they were resolved", the sheriff's office incident report said.

Fiamma employs about eight people regularly, he said, and he knew all of them.

No further details were immediately available. That means setting up an "interdisciplinary threat assessment team" of company managers and, sometimes, local law enforcement, to look at and perhaps track workers who were terminated or suspended, said Matthew W. Doherty, senior vice president for threat and violence risk management at Hillard Heintze.

On its officials twitter account Monday morning, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said the "situation" has been contained.
