North Korea blasts USA over 'selfish' climate withdrawal

Hawaii's governor has signed a bill that adopts goals of the Paris climate agreement, despite President Trump's announcement last week that the U.S.is pulling out of the global accord.

With Trump's withdrawal, the USA joins Syria and Nicaragua as countries in the United Nations climate group not on board with the Paris climate accord.

David Ige, shown here in 2014, has signed a bill to implement goals of the Paris Agreement in his state.

"Hawaii is committed to environmental stewardship, and we look forward to working with other states to fight global climate change". The coast is eroding, and the weather is more extreme.

In 2013, the city's climate action plan stated a commitment to reduce greenhouses gas emissions to below zero by 2050 - a directive that's also part of the Paris agreement.

For another, Trump's team had cherry-picked the evidence, looking for the lowest number they could find-no matter if it was applicable or not-among the studies that explored the impact of the climate accord, said Erwan Monier, co-author of the study and principal research scientist at MIT's department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences.

Scott Wilson and Evgeni Malkin also scored for Pittsburgh , which won for the ninth time in these playoffs when being outshot. Just 15 seconds later, Evgeni Malkin scored off of a two-on-one, firing a flawless shot over Rinne's glove for a 4-1 lead.

Pyongyang believes the United States departure from the agreement is similar to bullishness of its stance on the "nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula".

Dozens of mayors across the United States have also committed themselves to meeting the terms of the agreement. Unfortunately, that appears to be where President Trump's decision to pull out of the Paris climate accord has landed us.

The group says its members will remain actively involved with the worldwide community as it looks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and stop the planet from warming more than 1.5 degrees Celsius (about 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) above preindustrial levels. And although Trump has said he would "be honored" to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Trump has also sent out some critical tweets about North Korea's recent ballistic missile tests. He said that lots of people wanted my job and, given the abuse I had taken during the previous year, he would understand if I wanted to walk away.

The resolution "strongly condemns" Trump's decision and admonishes him "for rejecting peer-reviewed science, jeopardizing the health of our citizens and environment, harming our country's economic competitiveness, endangering our national security, and abdicating our country's leadership role in the world".
