Twitter could be Trump's undoing, allies warn

PresidentialTrump doesn't deliver every Trump tweet, and tweets are delayed by a few minutes to a few hours, but it does provide some cathartic distance without veering into unfunny "parody account" territory. Unable to wrestle away the president's cellphone, Team Trump's newest tactic is to suggest the president's tweets are unimportant, even as they tout social media as the president's link to the masses. According to a Politico/Morning Consult poll released Wednesday, 69 percent of voters said Trump used Twitter too much and 59 percent said his use of Twitter was a bad thing.

Asked whether President Donald Trump still has "confidence" in his attorney general, Spicer said, "I have not had that discussion with him". His rants and outbursts often steer the news cycle, guiding conversation due to their uncensored and blunt commentary. Grassley also noted that "even in a highly charged political environment", most requests are not "partisan" but rather are requests for information that will help members "legislate and fix real problems for the American people". Sean Spicer, a Trump spokesman, said that Trump will make "bold use" of Twitter, according the Chicago Tribune.

Dan Coats, the director of National Intelligence, reportedly told associates that President Trump asked him in March to intervene in the FBI's investigation into former national security adviser Mike Flynn's ties to Russian Federation. His recent tweets about his Muslim ban are being greeted as a gift by lawyers seeking to kill the executive order when it finally goes before the U.S. Supreme Court.

The president acknowledged the pressure to curb his Twitter use in a series of tweets Tuesday, although he appeared to blame the push as a result of the mainstream media.

However, Trump's clear willingness to say whatever is on his mind in his tweets has gotten the President in trouble.

There were a lot of theories as to why Trump wasn't tweeting.

. "If it's true that he wouldn't be president if it weren't for Twitter then, yeah, I'm sorry".

British PM turns to NI to save Tory government
It's safe to say when UK Prime Minister Theresa May called a snap election in April, she wasn't envisioning this outcome. Combined, the Tories and the DUP - which won 10 seats - would have 329 MPs in the Commons.

Barrack agreed there is a sense of chaos in the White House and said it was unlikely to abate soon.

During James Comey's extraordinary Senate testimony, it was Donald Trump Jr., the president's 39-year-old son, who played his father's usual role of Twitter foil, firing off snarky put-downs.

People really couldn't handle the fact Trump didn't tweet - it was one of the biggest topics of discussion during Comey's testimony.

. Ivanka Trump, the president's daughter, was the least popular selection, at 20 percent. I'm not sure anyone is in a position to simply tell the President to stop doing something and have him actually listen.

Trump's brief tenure in the White House has largely been defined by tumult.
