J Jayalalithaa's niece Deepa Jayakumar was not allowed to enter the late chief minister's Poes Garden residence in Chennai triggering protests, reported PTI.
But when she reached there, she was stopped and roughed up by security guards, as per sources.
Deepa said she went to Jayalalithaa's house after her brother Deepak called to garland a portrait of her late aunt kept in front of the house. She also said that her brother (Deepak) had called her to the place.
The reproduction of the story/photograph in any form will be liable for legal action.
According to reliable party sources, Deepa and her younger brother engaged in a war of words on the premises.
Poes Garden was a property inherited by Jayalalithaa from her mother Sandhya.

After Jayalalithaa passed away, the Poes Garden house was occupied by AIADMK general secretary V K Sasikala, who was also the live-in aide of the ex-TN Chief Minister during her lifetime.
Amid the scuffle between Deepa's supporters and the security personnel, she alleged that Deepak Jayakumar "conspired" with Sasikala to kill Jayalalithaa. This is a conspiracy by Deepak, acting on behalf of Sasikala, " she said.
"If they hadn't attacked the cameraman and reporter who were accompanying us, we would have gone inside the house". She then started cerating this ruckus, I don't know why this problem is being created. He killed Amma along with her (Sasikala). "I will meet the Prime Minister", she said. "They did it for the money", she said. "I never did anything", Deepak said.
Amid mounting tension, police allowed only the residents of the locality and their vehicles to enter the area and barred outsiders, including media persons. "Stopped from entering Poes Garden, we are being humiliated, looks like Deepak Jayakumar has cheated us by joining Sasikala camp", Deepa was quoted as saying by ANI. Even the rebel AIADMK group leader O Panneerselvam also demanding that the residence of Jayalalithaa has be converted into a memorial.
The front portion of the house where Jayalalithaa used to receive her supporters was thrown open to the public for some time in the aftermath of her demise in December last.
