CAC, including Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman would find it hard to remove Kumble at a moment's notice.

The Indian Express Newspaper of 11th June (today), carries a news item stating that there was a claim by the members of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), for being compensated for their meetings held to select a head coach for the Indian Cricket Team.

IPL chairman and senior member of BCCI, Rajeev Shukla, is also against appointing a new coach so soon. "There are disagreements in all teams but things shouldn't be blown out of proportion", a senior BCCI official said.

It now remains to be seen which way the Indian coach conundrum will turn in the next few days.

One of India's biggest news house NDTV have reported that the three-member Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), comprising of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman- have chose to keep Anil Kumble as the coach of the Indian cricket team.

Donald Tusk warns Theresa May there is 'no time to lose'
But her decision to call the general election has backfired, and it is not even certain she will remain at the helm. Mrs May left no doubt when it came to clarifying the way she expected United Kingdom to leave the single market.

Meanwhile, CK Khanna, the acting BCCI president, wrote a personal letter to all the stakeholders requesting to postpone the selection of a new coach till the Special General Metting scheduled on June 26th where the matter would be discussed further.

Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and V V S Laxman want to be suitably remunerated for picking the national coach. The CAC is aware that influential members in the BCCI have thrown their weight behind the players, but they are unlikely to bow to external elements.

The CAC members were expected to decide whether interviews need to be conducted or Kumble's contract should be renewed immediately. ESPNcricinfo understands the CAC will speak to both Kumble and captain Virat Kohli in an attempt to resolve differences that have emerged between the pair. While the mail clearly says that the CAC is trying to buy time and hoping for a truce between Kohli and Kumble, a source close to the COA made no bones about the fact that Kumble retaining the job would be the ideal situation considering the performance of the team under the former India skipper. "It's a short tour so there shouldn't be any problems", said a top source.

In fact, many in BCCI believe that Sehwag has the least chance to make it especially after his two-line CV that has not gone down well in some quarters.
