Over at the Hollywood Reporter, Borys Kit explains that while Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot obviously has a multi-picture deal - she's already done Batman v. Superman, Wonder Woman, and Justice League, after all - director Patty Jenkins doesn't.
Young actress Lilly Aspell plays the spirited eight-year-old Diana living on the island of Themyscira with an all-female Amazon tribe of half-gods. And the director should have more leverage than either of them, given the pretty widespread notion that her movie has "saved" the DCEU - which, you'll remember, DC was hoping Suicide Squad would do. "I want to live in a world where every person... knows (they) can be smart and strong and powerful and kind and all the things that Wonder Woman is".
"I was like, "I need her to see some brutality". There was a lot riding on this one, and it has delivered (for the most part). And if all of that wasn't enough, in 2012, Zehner wrote a 70-page report on why Wonder Woman deserved her own movie.

Video surveillance reportedly showed Christian yelling Islamophobic slurs at the driver of another MAX train on the same day. Police say Christian threw a plastic bottle at the woman, who responded by spraying him with Mace.
As for the leading role, many feared that an actress - Gal Gadot in this case - would not be able to offer a supercharged performance capable of keeping an audience glued to their seats for two-and-a-half-hours. However, "Wonder Woman" does have an interesting villain which makes the battle more engaging than some others like it.
She continues on saying that it's the fans love that made this movie as successful as it has been. So when I started to really hunker in on the significance of No Man's Land, there were a couple people who were deeply confused, wondering, like, "Well, what is she going to do?" It's obvious through the video that she is genuinely overwhelmed with how well the film has been received.
To celebrate the film's success, Gadot took to Instagram to share a short video in which she thanks the fans who propelled the female-driven superhero flick to the top position at the worldwide box office.
