Chelsea striker Diego Costa, has revealed that manager Antonio Conte has asked him to leave Stamford Bridge, as he does not have a future at the club. "Antonio Conte has told me by message that I do not follow at Chelsea and that's it. Conte said he did not count on me for next season", Costa was quoted as saying by The Telegraph on Wednesday.
Diego Costa's time at Chelsea seems to have come to an end. "But now it's all easier, because if the coach doesn't want you in the team, Chelsea will have to sell me no matter what, and at a discount".
"I'm a Chelsea player, but they do not want me there".
I suppose I've had a bad season so I can't go on.
"I received a simple message from the coach on my phone and he said he is not counting on me for next season", said Costa, who scored 20 goals in 35 league appearances for the English champions previous year.
The striker indicated that Conte had messaged him to say he was free to find another team for next season, with Costa speculating that his downturn in form in 2017 is behind the decision. I need to play, that's all.

Comey said Trump said he would "have his people" reach out to Boente, and that he told the President that was the way to go. Some Democrats - including Clinton - say Comey's last-minute reopening of the email probe caused her to lose the election.
The Blues are already being linked with moves for the likes of Everton's Romelu Lukaku and Real Madrid'S Alvaro Morata this summer, but rather than added competition for the Spain worldwide it appears as though they would be his replacement.
Costa, who has scored 58 goals for Chelsea since joining from Atletico for £32m three years ago, spoke of his quandary to reporters following Spain's game against Colombia last night.
Costa has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, a move which would be hard to complete in the short term with regard to the La Liga clubs transfer ban. "I want to be playing, always".
"Being five months without playing?"
Costa was in a dispute with the coaching staff in January after he was the subject of interest from a club in the Chinese league, which was reportedly prepared to pay him more than $30 million a year. It's a World Cup year and there's a lot to think about.
