Police searching for a French man who has been missing since the London Bridge attack say they have recovered a body from the River Thames.

In a separate investigation not linked to the London Bridge attacks, officers backed up by armed police arrested three men in east London on Thursday on suspicion of preparing for acts of terrorism.

A 27-year-old was arrested on suspicion of the preparation of terrorist acts and a 33-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs, police said.

Since the attack, 17 people have been arrested, 12 of whom have since been released without charge.

Eight people died and a further 48 people were injured in what was Britain's third Islamist attack in as many months.

Police arrested a male suspect on Wednesday in connection with Saturday's terror attack in London while carrying out a raid on the city's east side, authorities said.

On June 3, three terrorists Rachid Redouane, Youssef Zaghba, and Khuram Shazad Butt drove a van at high speed through a crowd on London Bridge. "We are examining CCTV footage from within Borough Market which we believe shows the majority of the incident relevant to our investigation", The Guardian quoted the IPCC as saying.

According to the paper, the images were captured near Butt's gym, the Ummah Fitness Centre in Ilford, east London, and show Redouane placing his phone on the floor, before the men move down the road for 10 minutes.

Open final a year ago , but the Czech player had never been past the second round at Roland Garros in five previous appearances. This hasn't gone well with the seven-time Grand Slam victor McEnroe, who slammed Djokovic for his "giving up" approach.

Redouane, a 30-year-old who described himself as Moroccan-Libyan, did not come up on MI5's radar.

"I wish to make it absolutely clear, so there can be no doubt, I condemn his actions and do not support the beliefs he held that led to him committing this atrocity".

The Islamic State terror group claimed responsibility for the attack.

Zaghba was identified as a possible militant threat after he was stopped at Bologna airport in 2016 as tried to reach Syria.

Xavier Thomas, 45, is thought to have been struck by the terrorists' van on the bridge and witnesses reported him being thrown into the water.

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley said Butt was known to the security services, but there was no evidence of "attack planning" by him.

Harry said: "Australians form an important and vibrant part of the fabric of life in London and we are reminded of that in good times and bad".
