The House Intelligence panel is also seeking testimony, personal files, and business records from former national security adviser Mike Flynn and Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, according to a statement released Wednesday.
Flynn's cooperation was the first signal that he and the Senate panel have found common ground.
The House panel pursuing its own investigation of the Trump campaign and possible Russian Federation ties has also sought information from Comey, asking the FBI to turn over documents related to his interactions with both the White House and the Justice Department. He said the onus was on Ryan to remove him as chairman of the intelligence committee, which would strip his subpoena power.
Four were issued to former national security adviser Michael Flynn and Trump's longtime lawyer Michael Cohen, as well as their respective firms.
The Republican-controlled committee, led by temporary Nunes replacement Rep. Mike Conaway (R-Tex.) and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), also issued four other subpoenas focused on Russian Federation.
A senior Republican staffer on the committee said Nunes signed the subpoenas for Flynn, Cohen and their companies, which were requested by Conaway and Schiff.
Lawmakers are likely to ask Comey about his interactions with Trump as the bureau pursued its investigation into his campaign's contacts.
This is what he said on April 6 right before the House Ethics Committee announced it was investigating whether Nunes broke House rules by revealing classified information in conversations with the media about the Russian Federation investigation. On that score, it has previously been reported that the committee's chairman, Devin Nunes (R., Calif.), has reviewed intelligence reporting and detected instances of unmasking.
Comey and the special counsel's office have reached an understanding about what he can and cannot discuss, clearing the way for his testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee as early as next week, according to people familiar with the matter who cautioned that a date for his appearance had not been finalized and it could take longer to schedule.
Man kicked by cops undergoing surgery for burns
Cops pursued him down Tonnelle Avenue, and Pinkston got into a minor crash when he tried to move between two lanes of traffic. The bystander's family told NBC4 that the man suffered severe burns and fractured ribs and is scheduled for surgery today.
The subpoenas spurred more grumbling from Democrats.
Trump made a similar claim in a tweet early Tuesday: "Russian officials must be laughing at the US & how a lame excuse for why the Dems lost the election has taken over the Fake News".
The House Intelligence Committee's investigation is one of several congressional probes into Russian Federation, along with one by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Cohen, who'd earlier refused a request for information saying it was "not capable of being answered", told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he would comply with subpoenas, should they be issued. He reportedly was involved in a back-channel plan, which never came to fruition, which would have involved a peace agreement between Russian Federation and Ukraine, and the lifting of USA sanctions against Moscow.
The White House has denied those characterizations.
After video of Trump admitting to a string of sexual assaults appeared last October, his approval rating bottomed out; a month later, it had recovered - and he was the President.
The Maryland and NY compounds were seized under the Obama administration in December as part of a larger action targeting Russian diplomats whom it said were spies.
But Democrats and outside watchdog groups accused him of collaborating with the White House to use the issue of "unmasking" as a way to steer the committee's focus away from its probe of alleged ties between the Trump team and Kremlin officials, eventually inspiring the House Ethics Committee to take up the issue.
