Orlando City midfielder Kaka continues to be the highest-paid player in the MLS, the 35-year old Brazil legend will receive "guaranteed compensation" of £5.6m.
In January 2016, Real Salt Lake announced that it had signed Movsisyan as a designated player on loan from Russia's Spartak.
Italian forward and former Landon Donovan MVP Award victor Sebastian Giovinco was second on the list with $7.1 million in total compensation followed by USA national team captain and Toronto team mate Michael Bradley ($6.5 million). The former Manchester United and Bayern Munich midfielder ranks seventh among the league's best-paid players.

But many economists are skeptical of dynamic scoring because they said it's very complicated to accurately make such estimates. The Wall Street Journal first reported that Trump wants to include a 15% corporate tax rate in Wednesday's announcement.

Making up the top 10 were Jozy Altidore ($4.9 million), Clint Dempsey ($3.9 million) and Argentine Diego Valeri ($2.6 million). He earns just over 135-times less than his Brazilian colleague.
Twenty-eight players have total compensation of $1 million or more, an increase of five from the initial list a year ago.
The 2014 World Cup victor comes in behind several other big name players in the salary stakes. There are 50 players who make minimum, $53,004.00, in total compensation. With 22 teams competing across the United States and Canada, some of the teams (such as FC Dallas and Minnesota United) do not pay any player more than $1,000,000.
