In testimony to the committee, Newbold described the Trump White House as far more lax on security issues that previous presidents she had worked for.
She also says that the White House at some point, in her words, says the committee, stopped doing credit checks for anyone applying to the White House, which is something new and something quite eye-popping.
A year ago the White House was also questioned about the security clearance granted to Trump aide Rob Porter despite domestic abuse allegations from two ex-wives.
"Chairman Cummings has departed from longstanding bipartisan oversight of the security clearance process to advance his partisan efforts to attack the president", Jordan said.
A White House whistleblower has told members of Congress that Donald Trump's administration overturned more than two dozen denials for security clearances, often ignoring the guidance of intelligence officials.
Lowell could not say whether or not Kushner shared classified information but noted the president's son-in-law took screen shots of his WhatsApp messages and sent them to his official White House email account or to the National Security Council so they could be preserved, as required by the Presidential Records Act.
Ingraham asked Kushner if he posed a "grave national security concern to the country", referencing both Newbold's concerns and a line from Cummings memo that calls Newbold's accounts "grave reports".
The allegation comes during an escalating fight over the issue between House Democrats and the White House.
"These requests are absolutely ridiculous", White House spokesman Hogan Gidley said in an interview on MSNBC, adding that the White House would not cooperate with Cummings' demands on security clearances.
Huawei vows to ‘shake off’ pressure as network business takes a hit
The company has previously said it was targeting total revenue of $125 billion this year, a record high. Huawei said it invested more than 101 billion yuan, or about 14% of sales, in research and development.
On Tuesday, Sanders denounced Democrats as "sore losers" who are refusing to accept the results of special counsel Robert Mueller's final report on the Russian Federation investigation.
She said she was suspended without pay for 14 days in January, was removed from her position as a "second-level adjudicator" on security clearances and no longer is a direct supervisor.
Instead, she said, the White House retaliated. Jordan said one of the 25 people who received a security clearance despite being initially denied one was a General Services Administration custodian.
Tricia Newbold, a whistleblower who has been a White House security adviser for 18 years, told lawmakers that the security clearances for various administration officials were approved regardless of concerns over blackmail and foreign influences. One of the senior officials, who was not identified, was specifically said to be disqualified due to "foreign influence".
Two of them were top-level officials in national security.
These allegedly included "two current senior White House officials".
United States media outlets have widely speculated that President Donald Trump's son-in-law had initially been refused security clearance because of his close friendship with Mohammed bin Salman, the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia.
Newbold also told the oversight committee staff that the White House security office stopped conducting credit checks on applicants to work in the White House during their initial suitability reviews.
