New England Patriots fans can relax, Tom Brady is not retiring, despite his Twitter declaration Monday.
It was Brady's first-ever tweet, as Fox News pointed out; he joined the social media platform last month. Conveniently announcing his retirement April Fools' Day, Brady added that in his spare time, he'll be tweeting. About an hour after tweeting, he had racked up almost 60,000 followers.
Brady followed the tweet by writing: "Was this a bad joke?" Brady picked up more than 34,000 followers in that span.
Now, we'll all wait with bated break to see what noise the 41-year-old makes on the old Twitter machine next. Brady made history by winning his sixth Super Bowl ring Sunday night.

The City of Columbia Police Department, the Clarendon County Sheriffs' Office, and SLED are continuing to investigate this case. Marci Josephson, Samantha's mother, read a statement to the judge calling Rowland's actions "senseless, vile and unacceptable".
"Don't you dare", the message said.
Twitter was a bit more complementary of the quarterback joining their platform, writing: "Now that's how the [GOAT] joins Twitter".
While this may be fun and games for Brady, the team's official Twitter account did not seem amused at that possibility of the six-time Super Bowl champion calling it a career.
Brady threw for 4,355 yards, 29 touchdowns and 11 interceptions last season.
