India's April retail inflation seen easing to three-month low
Output of manufacturing, mining and utilities firms rose 2.7% from a year earlier in March, strengthening from a 1.9% rise in February, government data showed Friday. The data compares with a 4.79 percent annual rise forecast by economists in a Reuters poll. Updated wholesale price index (WPI)-based inflation for the same month under a new series with a 2011-12 base year also eased to 3.85% in April from 5.29% in the previous month.
