The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been forced to reschedule the last day of their Pakistan tour after their plane got caught in a thunderstorm.

United Kingdom's Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived in Islamabad on Monday night, beginning a five-day visit that will focus on boosting ties and addressing challenges such as climate change. The duchess championed the role of women and mothers as the couple echoed the work of William's mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.

Kate Middleton poured her heart out at the SOS Children Village, saying it was inspiring to see the positivity and the family-like support to help transform the lives of many children. They also experienced the culture of the Kalash people during a visit to their native area.

Earlier in the day Prince William, who is second in line to the British throne, and Kate had joined locals in a cricket match in Lahore before a trip to a cancer hospital that his mother, Princess Diana, visited a year before her death.

The hospital was started by Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, whose first wife Jemima Goldsmith was a friend of the late princess.

The Pakistani government hopes the couple's four-day official visit will boost the country's image as a tourist and business destination, after decades of sectarian violence and political unrest.

Some of her favorite subjects include her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, though she's also made headlines for her photographs of Malaysian landscapes captured on her Diamond Jubilee tour to Southeast Asia.
