South African speedster Dale Steyn has sent a special message to his Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fans ahead of joining the franchise for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019.

"I've decided not to play global cricket - to be as sharp as I can in the other forms of cricket around the world".

"It truly keeps me energetic".

De Villiers announced his retirement from all forms of global cricket on May 23, 2018, but has been plying his trade in the various T20 leagues across the world very successfully.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will look to bank on this victory and script a turnaround in this edition of the IPL as it reaches its business end.

Saudi oil cuts deeper than promised: IEA | ABS-CBN
The dollar index slipped to its lowest against the euro in more than two weeks, making crude cheaper for non-U.S. buyers. US sanctions and power outages pushed OPEC member Venezuela's crude output to a long-term low of 870,000 bpd, IEA says.

AB de Villiers has opened up about his global retirement ahead of the World Cup and the former South African captain has revealed why he took the decision to not play for his country in any format so close to the ICC World Cup 2019. He believes that he respects the game too much to be anxious about him getting out. I've got too much respect for the game to get upset about that (his indifferent form). "With 38 needed off three overs, I had to back my best bowlers to do the job, (but it) didn't quite work out today".

After Rajasthan Royals beat Mumbai Indians by four wickets earlier Saturday for their second win of the season, Bangalore, who have never won an IPL title, remain rooted to the bottom of the table and needing a miracle to qualify for the playoffs.

Dale Steyn would be looking forward to join the team in the IPL as it would benefit him financially. One thing for sure is he'll give 200% with every ball. He'll give his absolute best every single time he bowls for the team and it's just going to be great to have a guy of that caliber and another great human being in our team.

RCB are now languishing at the bottom of the table with just 2 points from 7 matches.

Meanwhile, in the day's other match, England vice-captain Jos Buttler smashed 89 off 43 as Rajasthan Royals secured a four-wicket win against Mumbai Indians in Mumbai.
