Freeda Foreman, Daughter of George Foreman, Dies at 42

The family of former heavyweight boxing champion George Foreman is in mourning after the body of his daughter Freeda Foreman, 42, was found lifeless in her home. Have a tip? Email him at or follow him on Twitter!

The publication reported that police are awaiting details from the coroner's office to determine the cause of death.

Suicide statistics are staggering: In the United States, it is the 10th leading cause of death.

Late Sunday, George Foreman hit up his Twitter account to note how this would be his "first Sunday in 42 years without my Freeda".

She was discovered in her home in Houston, Texas, on Saturday.

"People only die when you forget them Freeda will love forever as you @GeorgeForeman will never forget her", another added. After the loss, she retired to focus on family and other kinds of projects, including boxing promotion.

Freeda would eventually begin boxing professionally, taking on the sport in 2000 before retiring the next year with a record of 5-1.

There was also a foray into voice acting when she guest starred in a 2003 episode of King of the Hill. She also appeared in some documentaries about George and his career. In addition to her 11 siblings, Freeda is survived by her husband, their two daughters, three grandchildren, and her parents.

Freeda wanted to be a fighter too, just like dad. She's With her maker now.10 kids forever.
