On August 21, a total solar eclipse is projected to cut a broad swath all across the continental United States - beginning on the west coast in OR and moving across Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia and SC.

Partial lunar eclipse is when the Earth moves in between the Moon and the Sun but the three do not line up exactly.

Experts say viewers will see an initial partial reddening of the moon when the lunar eclipse begins.

The central branch of the Jefferson-Madison Regional Library is fully prepared to help people enjoy the solar eclipse on August 21, thanks to a recent shipment of 1,000 solar glasses. The next lunar eclipse will occur on January 31, 2018, it will be seen by residents of all Russian regions, except western and south-western regions. "You get lunar eclipses when you have full moons, and you have solar eclipses when you have new moons". Though this upcoming total eclipse will last a couple of minutes, the event is still generating excitement through the locals of the involved states. Unlike a weather forecast, a solar eclipse is a guarantee and is therefore easy for predict down to the very minute.

Elderly dog-walker found stabbed to death with multiple wounds in woodland
East Harling Parish Council vice chairwoman Elizabeth Mould said a lot of villagers walk their dogs in the woods, including her. A post mortem by a Home Office pathologist on Sunday found that the victim had been "subjected to a serious assault".

Wayne White, who has a small observatory on his Lawrence County property, will inform the public on eclipse viewing safety at 6 p.m. Thursday.

The moon will retreat to the earth's penumbra again between 3:19 a.m. and 4:53 a.m., she said. Partial eclipses slightly outnumber total eclipses by seven to six.

But in Flower Mound, while it won't be a total eclipse, you will be able to see the moon cover up most of the sun. This is all very cool, but unfortunately, today's eclipse is just a partial eclipse, and those of us in the United States are on the wrong side of the world to view it IRL.

"So if you are going to look at the eclipse, you want to make sure that you're either viewing a projected image of the sun, or that you have certified eclipse viewing hardware with you", notes Alan Davis, Yale Grad Student, Department of Astronomy. The eclipse will provide a unique opportunity to study the sun, Earth, moon and their interaction because of the eclipse's long path over land coast to coast. Then there's the frenzy-inducing total solar eclipse crossing the US on August 21 and treating the rest of the country to a partial solar eclipse. The main difference from one event to another is the degree to which the totally eclipsed Moon is darkened and how colourful it might be. He said the glasses will be reserved for those attending an eclipse program at the library.
