Anquan Boldin signs one-year deal with Bills

The departure of Mike Gillislee to rival New England opened the door for second-year running back Jonathan Williams to assume the No.2 and short yardage role for the Bills, a team that ranked first in team rushing yards in each of the past two seasons.

When the Bills signed receiver Anquan Boldin this week, they were thinking about more than just how he could help their passing game on Sundays. "Listen, I've been a big Anquan fan from afar". Although, I'd bet Boldin has a grab or two. Everybody was very confident the Bills were a good fit, but I knew he had other options out there.

Boldin reportedly had an offer from the Bills last week that he turned down, before giving it second thoughts, ultimately taking an incentive-laden deal.

Our models project Boldin for 553 receiving yards and 3.43 touchdowns on 46 receptions, the 63rd-best projection for a fantasy receiver this year.

After posting the second-most rushing touchdowns (13) in his eight-year National Football League career, Shady McCoy vaulted himself back into a consensus first round draft pick in all formats. If the Bills released him before final cuts, he would count $1.4 million in dead money this season and $1.1 million next season. They spent the 2010-12 seasons together in Baltimore, when Taylor served as Joe Flacco's backup.
