"Game of Thrones" showrunners explain Arya's Direwolf reunion

The episode 2 of season 7 of Game of Thrones has just been broadcast but it was missing a scene of the most interesting ... discover which!

Between eunuch sex, a particularly visceral removal of Greyscale, the impending meeting of Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and the demise of the Sand Snakes, there were many things to take in. Arya's arc is finally returning to the centre of the show, locking in as Game of Thrones' heart and soul after so long stuffing her into an overlong Faceless Man training montage that quickly turned from engaging to slightly frustrating. Check out the moment in the video above. Her scene with the demoralised Lannister men last episode - with the strangely derided Ed Sheeren cameo - was really the true tipping point here, taking away from assassin Arya and focusing on her human side, the empathetic and vulnerable traits which have made her one of the show's most loved characters.

Arya is cornered by a wolfpack led by a huge direwolf.

Arya comes face to face with her old pal.

She said, "Ever since the show got rid of Nymeria, it's one of the questions I've been tweeted the most".

Nymeria recognises her human friend. Understanding, Arya says, "That's not you". Arya and Nymeria do and don't have the connection they've always had.

Neymar Storms Off After Training Ground Bust-up With Barcelona Teammate
Barcelona fans likely won't like what they see, as Neymar certainly looked disgruntled as he walked away from his team. This is however not the first Neymar is having a training ground bust-up.

During a post-episode discussion, creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss explained how the phrase was a callback to season one.

Over the past six seasons we have seen Lady, Grey Wind, Shaggydog, and Summer all shuffle off to the doggy (Seven) heavens, even prompting one disgruntled fan to set up a Change.org petition to protect Ghost and Nymeria (as the last two direwolves) from the murder and mayhem of the Seven Kingdoms.

"Arya's not domesticated and it makes total sense her wolf wouldn't be either".

As she came to realise one of them was her her long-lost direwolf, the pair stared into each other's eyes until the wolves eventually slunk off. "Then she realises the wolf is doing exactly what she would do if she were that wolf".

Girl, she was saving and did save your life possibly from the Hound who butchered Mycah, the butcher's boy may be out of rage when he can't find you and put your shaggy head on a spike.
