Frank went on to talk about the Clippers buying Milwaukee's second-round pick at No. 48 and then selecting SC guard Sindarius Thornwell.

Thornwell marks the first Gamecock selected in the draft since 2006. Thornwell, named the SEC Player of the Year by the league's coaches, led the league in scoring in conference games at 22.1 points per game.

Dozier, a Columbia native who played two seasons for the Gamecocks, averaged 13.9 points per game last season in helping the Gamecocks advance to the Final Four.Dozier was second on the team in points per outing, while he dished a team-high 2.8 assists, while pulling down 4.8 rebounds and collecting 1.7 steals per outing.

Meanwhile, PJ Dozier, who made a decision to leave USC after his sophomore season to seek National Basketball Association riches, went undrafted.

Thornwell came to USC from Oak Hill Academy and he propelled the Gamecocks to their first ever Final Four appearance this past season.

McGregor will fight Mayweather this August

Lawrence Frank, the LA Clippers' executive vice president of basketball operations, was adamant Thursday night that All-Star center DeAndre Jordan is not on the trading block. After all 30 franchises passed on his services as a result of the 2017 NBA Draft, the former collegiate standout has since signed a free-agent contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to a Friday morning report from Chris Haynes of ESPN. Dozier said. "I'm going to continue to grow, it's not over for sure". There is also a proposed trade that would send Thornwell to the Clippers.

As a senior he averaged a conference-leading 21.4 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per contest.

In Dozier's freshman season, Dozier averaged 6.7 points as a reserve and occasional starter.

The Lakers were one of roughly a dozen teams Dozier worked out for prior to the draft.
