McGregor will fight Mayweather this August

White said two would fight as boxers and it will take place at the T-Mobile Arena. Notably, the boxing legend last defeated Andre Berto in September 2015 to end his 16-year-old career with an unbeaten record.

However, in what appeared to be a swipe at his opponent's age, he instead posted a photo of Mayweather's father, Floyd Mayweather Sr.

Mayweather is a five-division world champion and has a 49-0 record. At 28, he has a lot less wear and tear on his body than the 40-year-old Mayweather, who has been retired for nearly two years.

"Conor's a mixed martial artist going into a boxing match with arguably the greatest boxer of all time".

"We've been in negotiations for a while", White told SportsCenter.

McGregor had recently obtained a boxing license in California, and is expected to get one in Nevada for a fight with Mayweather.

Listen to Drake's New Track "Signs"
The new track became available as an exclusive stream on Thursday morning in the United States, thanks to a fashion show. The track-like many other Drizzy tunes- finds the Toronto artist playing the role of a provider for one of his lovers.

Mayweather will reportedly be paid over 100 million U.S. dollars for the contest, which will be broadcast on pay-per-view networks across the world.

UFC's White joined ESPN for an interview shortly after the fight was announced, and he described McGregor as a competitor who seriously thinks he will beat Mayweather.

Asked about the financial situation surrounding the fight, Dana White said all involved were very happy with the deal.

"The impossible deal is now done". "He is absolute, 100 percent positive he will win this fight".

McGregor later avenged a loss to Nate Diaz with great boxing skills, and he smashed then-lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez repeatedly before finishing him in November.

Moments before Mayweather's announcement, McGregor tweeted out: "THE FIGHT IS ON". That means the UFC, a large MMA promotional company that puts on pay-per-view events independently, will not be taking on its usual role of putting on the fight.
