The notification put up by CBSE states, "The dates have been extended in respect of verification and obtaining photocopy of the evaluated answer book (s) for the candidates who have appeared under Secondary School (class 10) Examination, 2017 scheme-2 (i.e. board based) and for the candidates who have appeared under Senior School Certificate (class 12) Examination, 2017".

"The exam inactions should start around February 15 and we are also planning to complete them within a month".

Until now, the board exams are scheduled from March 1 to April 20, taking 45 days to complete.

"The details will be made available on the CBSE website tomorrow and the online process will also be operational from tomorrow throughout this period", the board said in a statement.

But the proposal's calcification hinges on the approval of the board, the chairman said. The board's plan to advance the examinations is a part of the reforms in the evaluation process, which has come under the scanner due to glaring errors in the practice.

Trump promises high paying jobs with new apprenticeship order
We have regulations upon regulations, and in history nobody has gotten rid of so many regulations as the Trump administration. We will be removing federal restrictions that have prevented many different industries from creating apprenticeship programs.

After re-evaluation, if a student scores 10 or more than 10 marks than the original score, the CBSE will have to refund the fees deposited by the examinee.

The ASG's submission came during hearing of petitions by students, who gave the board exams this year, against the CBSE's decision to scrap its re-evaluation policy. "Otherwise, in April during vacations, schools offer us only temporary, ad-hoc and newly-appointed teachers for the evaluation exercise as experienced teachers do not oblige", said the chairman.

Earlier, the Odisha High Court had asked the CBSE to re-evaluate the answer sheets of more than 100 students who had alleged discrepancies in Class 12th results, following which students had moved the Delhi High Court seeking parity with the students in Odisha.

The Orissa High Court order had come after a CBSE lawyer there had submitted that the re-evaluation policy was still in existence. "On basis of the findings and suggestions of the committees, major changes may be introduced in the evaluation process", the official added.
