Firefighters continue to battle blaze amid extreme weather conditionsThe blaze in the Holcomb Valley area had charred 950 acres and is 10 percent contained as of Tuesday.
Two firefighters suffered heat-related injuries after the blaze erupted Monday.
Battalion Chief Scott Tuttle, with San Bernardino County Fire, said one person from the Morongo Basin's stations has been sent to help with the Holcomb Fire: a battalion chief who leading a strike team.
The fire broke out during blazing heat on Monday.
The hot and dry conditions are expected to continue Wednesday.
Aerial images showed fire burning Tuesday evening at the dump, officially called the Big Bear Transfer Station.

The wildfire, dubbed the "Holcomb fire", was first reported as "growing rapidly" in the San Bernardino National Forest.The fire was approximately 850 acres by 9:00 p.m. EDT, according to the U.S.
Highways and trails in the area, including Highway 18 from Baldwin Lake Road north to Mistubishi Plant Road, the Pacific Crest Trail from Highway 18 to Van Dusen, the Doble Trail and the Tanglewood Group campgrounds have been closed by the California Highway Patrol. Several forest roads including Van Duesen Canyon and Holcomb Valley Road East are closed, as well as a section of the popular Pacific Crest Trail between Highway 18 and Van Duesen Canyon Road.
Monday started with 450 fire personnel assigned to the Holcomb fire.
The Federal Aviation Administration has banned drones and private aircraft from flying over the area.
