This week the folks at Google have split the bill up for users of Google Fi. Called Group Repay, each group plan member's portion of the bill is now automatically calculated, and then provided with several payment options directly through Project Fi. Instead of pushing for additional costs, as some similar companies have done in the past, Google is making it easier to do the split - they do it from their side of the equation.
According to Google's own survey, about 50 percent of people aged 18 to 34 who have a group plan now share their plans with their parents and half of them pay at least some share of the bill. You always have to calculate how much each person owes, sometimes accounting for usage, and then pay the plan owner the exact amount. Using this, plan members can make their payments right from the Fi notification on their Android homescreen. It shows the amounts various people paid or owe as well as the full bill amount. Users are also able to set up reminders, so that they know they need to send money for their cell phone bill each month, and there's no reason to forget.
When it comes time to pay up, you can use Google Wallet to both send and receive funds. The plan owner can cash out these payments to a debit card or checking account if they'd like.
CMT Will Not Be Reviving Tim Allen Comedy 'Last Man Standing'
CMT will no longer release new episodes of Tim Allen's comedy, " Last Man Standing ". Allen, a real-life Hollywood republican, played a conservative on the series.
To access Group Repay, users should open the Project Fi app - that's where the fun begins.
Back in October, Project Fi added group plans that are ideal for families and feature straightforward management tools. This feature will begin to be rolled out to users starting today, and should be available to all Project Fi users by the end of the week.
