Perez rubbishes talk of Manchester United deal for Morata

Perez's latest four-year term has started as many of his previous ones have - with frenzied transfer speculation about which big-name players might arrive at the club and, perhaps more crucially in this instance as Ronaldo's future dominates the headlines, who might end up leaving.

Ronaldo is reportedly considering a return to Manchester United, also reported to be a potential destination for both Rodriguez and Morata.

Because if you add up the wages that Ronaldo will demand - somewhere between £350,000-400,000 a week - it will come to a pretty penny.

"People say things about me without knowing a thing and it bothers me".

First, Morata must make it known that he wants to leave the club to get regular first-team football - imperative in a World Cup year - and, secondly, United must meet Real's asking price.

"Subsequently has thrown venomous verbal darts at Cristiano Ronaldo, including remarks like "I coached the real Ronaldo".

He told Spanish radio station Onda Cero (h/t the Mirror's Joe Mewis): "The clause for Cristiano is £1 billion".

His options are fairly limited as a result, as United and PSG are perhaps the only clubs in Europe capable of shouldering that burden, even factoring in the commercial benefit his capture would bring to any club that signed him. "I have not spoken with him since [the Champions League final in] Cardiff".

And he has also complained on multiple occasions in the past at his treatment at the hands of Real supporters, who have resorted to jeering and booing his performance on the pitch.

Portuguese sports daily A Bola had also claimed that Perez had already been informed of the 32-year-old's decision.

"I have not spoken with him".

"Something very odd will have to happen for him to go".

'And neither have we made any offers for anyone.
