Deomcratic Sen. Dick Durbin said Friday that President Donald Trump will put the country at the "brink of a constitutional crisis" if he fires special counsel Robert Mueller.
The deputy attorney general could be the next Department of Justice official to recuse himself from overseeing the special counsel's Russian Federation investigation, which Rosenstein himself set the possible move in motion by hiring Robert Mueller to lead the probe.
The Washington Post reported Wednesday that Mueller's investigation had extended to include whether Trump committed obstruction of justice after Comey testified that the president had asked him to drop an investigation into Michael Flynn, his former national security adviser.
A source familiar with the matter told CNN's Evan Perez that investigators for Mueller would speak with Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and National Security Agency Director Mike Rogers.
"After 7 months of investigations & committee hearings about my 'collusion with the Russians, ' nobody has been able to show any proof".
Cullen is a former federal prosecutor who has long ties to former FBI Director James Comey. On Friday, the President tweeted he was under "investigation," which he called a "witch hunt" in another tweet. Mueller is now leading the investigation into whether Russian Federation interfered in the 2016 presidential election.
There has been no indication that Mueller told Trump to fire Comey. The presumption, however, is that Mr. Comey's dismissal was due to official inquiries he was making about Trump's inner circle, namely, former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, and its ties with Russian Federation.

This has led to questions over whether a major refurbishment of the building past year could have encouraged the fire to spread. He says it may be necessary for numerous outmoded tower blocks built in the 1970s to be demolished because of safety concerns.

The White House has directed questions to outside legal counsel, which has not responded.
