Recent news reports have suggested Trump sought all three officials' help in pressuring FBI Director James Comey to drop his investigation into former National Security Adviser Mike Flynn. The FBI was even assessing whether criminal charges should be filed. The probe has reportedly expanded to include whether Trump fired Comey in an attempt to obstruct justice. He said Trump's statement on Twitter Friday was specifically in response to a story in The Washington Post about the expanding probe into Russia's election meddling. "This makes clear, as our statement said, that Mr. Comey incorrectly testified that he never leaked the contents of the memo or details of the dinner before President Trump's May 12, 2017, tweet". An official of Trump's transition confirmed the laywer's internal order sent Thursday.
