Lee Hsien Yang also said that he had felt compelled to leave the country.

PM Lee who is now on overseas leave, expressed his disappointment towards the choice of publicising private family matters and denies allegations made by the two against him, especially on the point that he has political ambitions for his son.

Lee Hsien Yang says he made a decision to leave Singapore amid the "fear of the use of the organs of state against us and Hsien Yang's wife, Suet Fern", according to the statement. "Hsien Loong is the only reason for my departure", he said.

"If Hsien Loong is prepared to act thus against us, both contributing members of Singapore's establishment, to advance his personal agenda, we worry for Singapore".

When Singapore's parliament passed a controversial new contempt of court law in August 2016, Lee Wei Ling called the bill an attempt to muzzle public opinion, later reminding Singaporeans that "the current government was voted in by Singaporeans". But in a fresh statement, two siblings accused Lee of privately working against their father's will to "enhance his political capital". "We question whether able leaders with independent political legitimacy will be side-lined to ensure Hsien Loong's grip on power remains unchallenged".

The two siblings did not munch their words in their criticism of their brother, saying he drew his political power from being Lee Kuan Yew's son, which is even more damning.

In the early morning of Wednesday, siblings of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Dr Lee Wei Ling and Mr Lee Hsien Yang issued a public statement to express their non confidence in PM Lee Hsien Loong and wrote that they are anxious about Singapore's future in his hands.

Teams can speak with unrestricted free agents and discuss general contract guidelines, but deals cannot be signed until July 1. All 31 teams officially begin the new league year as free agency opens and the countdown to training camps begins.

Despite his major achievements in leading Singapore to economic prosperity, Lee Kuan Yew was criticised by rights groups for restricting political freedoms, including muzzling the press, jailing political opponents and suing critics for defamation.

The three siblings are the children of Singapore's revered founding leader, Lee Kuan Yew, who served as prime minister of Singapore from 1959 to 1990.

Separately, Li Shengwu, one of Lee Hsien Yang's sons, said on Facebook that "my immediate family has become increasingly anxious about the lack of checks on abuse of power".

"We feel extremely sad that we are pushed to this position", Dr Lee and Lee Hsien Yang said in a joint statement posted on their Facebook accounts at 2.20am today, where they expressed fears that the "organs of state" might be used against them and the wife of the younger Lee's wife, Lim Suet Fern. Lee, who became Singapore's third prime minister in 2004, said he would consider the issue further after he returns from an overseas trip with his family later this month.

They concluded in their letter: "We are private citizens with no political ambitions".

My siblings' statement has hurt our father's legacy. They have said they would like to honour their father's wish for the house to be demolished after Dr Lee ceases to live in it. The ruling People's Action Party holds 83 out of 89 parliamentary seats. At the same time, he will continue serving Singaporeans honestly and to the best of his ability, in particular, upholding meritocracy, which is a fundamental value of Singapore's society.
